Don’t miss this unique visit, from 7 November!
Up close to Victor Horta’s façade.
More than 75 years after the demolition of the Hôtel Aubecq, a monumental masterpiece designed by Victor Horta in 1902, the remains of its façade are now being revealed in a new light.
The Aubecq 3.0 project takes its name from this third reassembly of the approximately 600 stones salvaged during the building’s demolition in 1950, displayed horizontally. This new presentation has been made possible through an innovative public-private partnership between Urban and Constructiv, the construction sector fund.
This is an exceptional opportunity for the public to get up close to this Art Nouveau masterpiece, admire details that are usually hidden from view, and discover the exceptional craftsmanship of the artisans who created it.
This project will also help raise awareness among younger generations of careers in construction, restoration and heritage conservation, particularly through the training programmes organised by Construcity.brussels.
Following a special opening as part of the Heritage Days, a regular programme of guided tours and educational activities now enables visitors to discover the unique history of this lost monument.

An exceptional heritage collection
Far more than mere architectural fragments, the approximately 600 carved stones from the Aubecq façade constitute a unique collection that has been listed in the inventory of movable cultural heritage of the Brussels Capital Region since 2024.
Inventoried, studied, digitised and preserved by Urban, they bear witness to changing perceptions of heritage over recent decades and constitute an exceptional resource for research, knowledge-sharing and raising awareness.
