VUB Architectural Engineering and urban.brussels warmly invite you to the International Symposium on Young Heritage (1975-2000) at the Royal Library of Belgium on 6 and 7 February 2024.
With this symposium, we wish to provide an overview of the current state of knowledge on the built heritage of the years 1975-2000 and the current challenges concerning its preservation. A range of experts from politics, research and practice from all over Western Europe will be taking part in four sessions on
1) value assessment,
2) policy instruments,
3) building materials
4) restoration and conservation.
We also invite interested participants to submit a short presentation (10-15 minutes) during one of the four sessions. Anyone wishing to make a presentation should send a brief abstract (300 words) to Marylise.Parein@vub.be by 15 December.
