Urban regrets to inform you that the “Decolonial intersections” programme has been cancelled. This decision was taken reluctantly, due to the configuration of the area and the unfavourable weather conditions, which prevent a quality accompaniment.
With “The Grand Opening”, an installation set up in March 2024 in front of the Monument to the Belgian Pioneers in Congo, Urban wanted to offer the public a space for dialogue, exchange and reflection on the issue of colonial symbols in the public space. Even though the proposed activation is now suspended, “The Grand Opening” remains a place open to everyone, and we invite you to discover and rediscover it, and to use it as a free and open platform to continue this essential questioning.
