Photo competition: Urban Zoom Schools 2027

Urban Zoom Schools is a free photography competition for secondary school pupils in the Brussels-Capital Region.

In 2027, Urban will put aesthetics at the heart of its work. What makes a building, street, park or neighbourhood attractive in our eyes?

Through their photographs, pupils are invited to explore Brussels, observe their surroundings, and share their perspective on the city, its heritage, architecture, public spaces, green spaces, and works of art.

A panel of judges will select the most original and best-quality photographs. The winning photographs will be part of an exhibition and the photographers will receive a prize.

The competition is a unique opportunity to discover Brussels from a new perspective while developing pupils' creativity, powers of observation, and critical eye for the city.

Teachers, register your school and encourage your pupils to take up the challenge. We're looking forward to discovering their vision of Brussels!

The 2026 exhibition is still on display

Take a look at the exhibition featuring the winning photographs from Urban Zoom Schools 2026, still on display on Urban’s windows until the end of the year. It is a great opportunity to discover, together with your class, the many different ways young people view Brussels and to imagine the themes that could inspire your own pupils.
