On 7 March 2024, the Government of the Brussels Capital Region approved the draft regional urban planning regulation (RUPR) in the second reading.
This approval follows the adoption of the draft RUPR in the first reading on 10 November 2022 and the organisation of the consultation measures imposed by the Brussels Regional Planning Code, in particular the public enquiry, which was held from 12 December 2022 until 20 January 2023. Much thought has gone into the draft RUPR adopted in the second reading, which takes into account the conclusions of the environmental impact report, the opinions expressed by the municipalities and the consulted bodies, in particular the regional development commission, as well as the many reactions to the draft regulation during the public enquiry.
