Lecture: "Speaking stones?"

Don't miss the last meeting of the Réseau Art Nouveau Network (RANN) lecture series on 18 December!

The aim of this final lecture is to briefly retrace the short architectural history of the Hôtel Aubecq, one of Victor Horta's masterpieces, and to discuss the possibilities for enhancement that the Brussels-Capital Region hopes to develop, such as projects integrating "Extended Reality" digital technologies, in order to offer the widest possible audience a unique interactive phygital experience and make the invisible visible from the remains of the Aubecq façade.

These vestiges have so much to tell us about their genesis, the history of their creators and patrons, the lifestyles of their inhabitants and contemporaries, the craftsmen who sculpted them and their skills, and so much more.

The lecture, which is free upon reservation, will take place in French at the Hôtel van Eetvelde on 18 December at 6.30pm and will be given by Pascale Ingelaere, head of Urban's Immovable Heritage Department.

An event organised in collaboration with Urban, the RANN and the LAB·An as part of the Art Nouveau Brussels 2023 programme.
