Discover the exhibition "The Prior's House of Rouge-Cloître/Rood Klooster"

The Prior's House is part of the former monastery of Rouge-Cloître/Rood Klooster, an exceptional heritage site in the Brussels-Capital Region. The Prior’s House, which had not been in use since 1998, was recently thoroughly restored by the Brussels-Capital Region, accompanied by Urban's teams. The restoration was completed in May 2022. As the new manager of the Prior's House, non-profit organisation Rubea Vallis aims to make this last vestige of the former monastery accessible and enjoyable for the public through a diverse sociocultural programme, highlighting the site's cultural and natural assets.

To mark the occasion, you can discover the first exhibition, produced in collaboration with Urban, the Centre d’Art du Rouge-Cloître and the Art & History Museum, which gives an initial presentation of the results of the archaeological work carried out between 1997 and 2015 on the site, providing keys to the interpretation and understanding of its history and architecture in the wider context of the study of ancient iconography. You can also visit the brasserie and gallery in the Prior's House, which are now open to the public.

Come and discover these recently restored spaces, which will open their doors to you on 16 and 17 September for the Heritage Days.

And don't miss the "Osmosis" concert in the cloister gallery on Sunday at 4pm.
