A participatory artistic performance!
On our national holiday, 21 July, seize the opportunity to take part in the second activation of the work of art “LONG PLAY” by Pascale Marthine Tayou, a participatory artistic performance!
Over the next two years, the “LONG PLAY” installation will host a number of events, including some artistic performances. Check our website regularly to stay in the loop.
Urban also invites you to make this work of art your own: have a seat, chat, improvise… or turn it into an artistic stage.

The artist: Pascale Marthine Tayou
Pascale Marthine Tayou is an artist born in 1966 in Cameroon, currently based in Ghent. He explores various media, such as sculpture, installations, video and drawing. His work is characterised by the use of recycled materials and bright colours, addressing themes such as identity, globalisation and post-colonial legacies.
His work POLYLOGUE – LONG PLAY in the Parc du Cinquantenaire represents a large vinyl record that symbolises a multi-voiced dialogue, a history remix, just like the Parc du Cinquantenaire has become: a vibrant place with a fruitful confrontation between past, present and future.
