As part of the implementation of the Brussels Government's action plan "Working on decolonising public spaces in the Brussels Capital Region", Urban commissioned Traumnovelle to design an installation in front of the Monument to the Belgian Pioneers in Congo in Cinquantenaire Park. Curator Laurent Mbaah has been entrusted with the activation of this installation, and together with Traumnovelle, he invites you to a writing and slam workshop followed by a public feedback session.

Join artist and slammer Marie Darah for a writing and slam workshop based on the concepts of intersectional equity and open-mindedness.
This workshop will explore the wishes and desires of the participants through the creation of texts, which may or may not be declaimed, depending on each person's wishes
The workshop will close with a public feedback session for those who wish to express their views.

Speakers
Marie Darah, born in Charleroi in 1989, settled in Brussels to study the art of the spoken work at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. After graduating, they continued to develop their other passions: writing, singing, slam, music and dance, among others. Alongside their artistic activities, it is by questioning concepts of equity and open-mindedness that they find a semblance of balance to be able to move forward and forge their own path, placing them at a convergence point of intersectionality In 2021, they won the European Slam Championship. They were the recipient of a grant from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation - Bourse de découverte 2021
