As part of the "New Ways of Living" exhibition, coordinated by Urban and curated by CityTools and Dogma, CityTools is organising a public debate on alternative, affordable, accessible and unconventional housing.
This exhibition explores alternative living in Brussels and Europe through interviews with Brussels-based households and a collection of radical housing projects throughout history. It highlights unconventional housing and households that challenge traditional family norms, mix living and working spaces, experience alternative forms of ownership or the reuse of materials and retrofit of abandoned or obsolete buildings. The goal of the exhibition is to stimulate discussion about existing housing rules and advocate for more flexible and adaptive practices.
