For its 37th edition, the Heritage Days would like to invite you to rediscover the city’s tangible and intangible heritage, uncover hidden treasures, and gain access to rarely opened sites on September 20 and 21, 2025!
This year, we are celebrating « ART DECO, Roaring Twenties, Crash Years » as part of Art Deco Year 2025. Coordinated by Urban, the event will revisit this artistic movement through urban, architectural, sociological, and human perspective, moving beyond the traditional focus on luxury and aesthetics.
As a highly anticipated annual event that draws thousands of visitors from Brussels, Wallonia, Flanders, and beyond, it is a must-see experience for all!
« ART DECO, Roaring Twenties, Crash Years »
The Heritage Days 2025 will showcase these two facets of Art Deco, «Roaring Twenties, Crash Years», through a broad cross-section of heritage: buildings, facades, interiors, furniture, collections, intangible heritage, as well as public spaces, neighbourhoods and streets. Themes of gender and inclusion, as well as links with colonial propaganda, will be explicitly addressed. They will also look at how Art Deco is being showcased and restored today, and what inspiration it can offer today's designers and architects.
Art Deco Brussels 2025
This event joins the theme of the Art Deco Brussels 2025 programme, jointly led by Urban and visit.brussels, in collaboration with the non-profit organisation Patrimoine & Culture, and their many partners.

We regret to inform you that our planned program for the Heritage Days Schools will unfortunately not take place this year. We have therefore explored the 2025 Art Deco Year program in the Brussels-Capital Region (artdeco2025.brussels) to identify operators offering Art Deco-themed activities for school audiences, available between September and December 2025.
