From 12 December 2024 to 12 March 2025, the exhibition 39-99 at the Halles Saint-Géry, organised with the collaboration of Urban, will offer everyone a captivating insight into the history of Brussels.
This exhibition on Brussels’ post-war heritage, built between 1939 and 1999, highlights a key period in the city’s architecture and development. This era, marked by radical changes and innovative architectural styles, reflects the social, economic and cultural transformations of the time.
39-99 is also an invitation to reflect on innovation and the preservation of recent heritage. How can we repurpose buildings from this period to meet contemporary sustainability and urban development needs, while respecting their historical and architectural value?
