June will be a festive month, with among other things the inauguration of Maison Hannon and the World Art Nouveau Day, which will be celebrated on 10 June 2023 with many activities organised in various museums around the theme “materials”.
THE CURTAIN LIFTS ON MAISON HANNON
We are proud to announce that as of 1 June, this gem will open its doors as a museum house, after a restoration that brought back its original luster. Make sure to check out the exhibition housed there, “Art(s) nouveau(x) belge(s)”, which can be visited until 31 December 2024.
“ART NOUVEAU. ART NOUVEAU TREASURES. STORIES OF EXCEPTIONAL OBJECTS” AT THE BELVUE MUSEUM
From 7 June until 7 January, you can discover a selection of major masterpieces belonging to the King Baudouin Foundation that have a link with Art Nouveau. Usually, these pieces are exhibited in various Belgian museums, but they are exceptionally all on display at the BELvue museum.
“ARABESQUE” AT THE HALLES SAINT-GÉRY
When contemporary circus acts interpret Art Nouveau. Dive into this exhibition from 10 June until 28 August. It honours both this emblematic architectural movement and the Brussels contemporary circus arts, as well as the organic links between both of these worlds. Check out the many activities around this theme all summer!
The Art Nouveau Brussels 2023 programming is organised jointly by Urban, visit.brussels and their partners.
