Take part in the round table in French, organized as part of the "Daughters" exhibition this December 7th at 6:30pm at the Halles Saint-Géry.
The invisibility of women artists in art history raises many questions. At the same time, pictorial representations of women are often imbued with fetishism and shape our ideals of femininity.
How can we give visibility to women artists of the past? How can we ensure the presence of contemporary women artists in our future heritage? How can we approach the representation of women yesterday, today and tomorrow?
→ The round table will explore these vast questions, and attempt to understand how they animate today's female artists and their works.
The meeting will be followed by a drink to allow the public to discover the exhibition.
