Since 1 January 2022, RENOLUTION Grants have become the new regional grant scheme, merging the Energy Grants and the Housing Renovation and Façade Enhancement Grants
renolution.brussels has become the new reference platform containing all the useful information for securing grants and the various regional financial supports in terms of renovation.
One of the major innovations of this standardised system is that all grant applications are now made after the work has been completed, within 12 months of the last invoice for the balance of the work. A total of 45 RENOLUTION grants are available for both renovation and energy-saving works. When you renovate, you can submit one consolidated application for all the grants for which you qualify. In 2022, the pre-financing that was possible under the old grant system is being replaced by a new global credit system.
Another notable innovation is that all grant applications can now be made through IRISbox, the electronic counter of the Brussels region. This one-stop shop is designed to standardise and simplify administrative procedures. In particular, it can be used to generate certain administrative documents automatically, help you compile your application, perform grant simulations and share your documents with the two competent administrations, Urban and Bruxelles Environnement.
There are RENOLUTION grants for all types of buildings: single-family dwellings, apartment buildings, offices, businesses, schools, industries, etc. And for various applicant profiles: owner-occupiers, landlords, tenants, building managers, etc. The two main conditions for awarding this new generation of grants remain unchanged; they are only available for work carried out by professionals and only apply to buildings over 10 years old.
